Current GDOT Traffic Numbers
The traffic data shows totals downtown at 15,000 vehicles per dau (not 19,000 as suggested on the GDOT project site.
The project side also does not differentiate between single unit trucks (USPS, delivery, etc) and combo unit trucks (semis and trucks with trailers). Therefore, the percentange of trucks on the project site is highly inflated! Actual combo unit trucks is between 2-3%.
Industrial/Trucking companies within city limits
The yellow dots represent the local businesses that contribute significant daily truck traffic in town.
These busineeses have not been considered in the current GDOT project and would be unlikely to take a southern bypass to travel N on 441. Current proposed routes are represented by the blue dash lines.
