Community Updates

Oconee County Commissioners Agenda Meeting May 5th, 2026

Many community members turned out to comment and share from the heart what South Oconee and their farms and land mean to them. The Commissioners unanimously voted to approve their resolutions drafted to send to Georgia Department of Transportation. Several of these resolutions request solutions within the city limits and among those, fixes we as a community have asked for, for many years.

Read up on the resolutions and view the public comments here at  Lee Becker's Oconee Observations.
